We are currently looking for a motivated individual for the position of Purchaser. Those individuals who are seeking long term employment with a growing company, who have the ability to work efficiently as an individual and cooperatively with other employees.

Our company is looking for a Purchaser who can analyze our current buying systems and create the best methods for day-to-day purchasing operations. This person will be responsible for overseeing our purchasing department, establishing Buyer goals based on corporate inventory needs and sales projections for the coming year and setting career objectives for each member of the purchasing team. Duties and responsibilities

Collaboratively work with shipping and receiving, and production partners

Propose improvements to the current purchasing system that will improve vendor relationships and lower the cost of doing business

Collaborate with inventory control and sales to develop metrics for gauging inventory level needs and then maintaining those levels throughout the year

Take the lead in creating profitable ways to manage obsolete and slow-moving stock to help offset losses

Manage the company’s day-to-day purchasing activities and ensure that all purchasing agents are meeting their personal performance standards

Qualifications

5+ years purchasing experience is required

Strong negotiation skills

Is familiar with costing, assembly and subassemblies in a manufacturing environment

Previous inventory software experience is a plus

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Strong initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively

Energetic, positive attitude, proactive, team player

Organized with the ability to multi-task

Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:
