Responsibilities – Tasks

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches

• Prepare layouts according to building codes

• Measure, cut, shape, and join materials including wood and steel

• Build foundations, install beams, lay flooring, erect walls and roofs

• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware

• Maintain and renovate wooden structures in various facilities

• Survey building sites and levels

• Estimate costs and materials

• Prepare tenders and quotations

• Operate chainsaws for tree felling and preparation

Transportation Requirements

• Own transportation required
