Restaurant and Food Service Manager Full Time NEW

Flashback Breakfast & Lunch is seeking an experienced, organized, and dedicated Restaurant and Food Service Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations in Barrie, ON. The ideal candidate will be a strong team leader with hands-on expertise in staff supervision, financial control, inventory management, and delivering high-quality customer service.

Location: Barrie, ON L4M 3C2 (On-site)

Pay: $37.00 per hour

Hours: 35.00 hours per week (Full-time, Term/Contract: Nov 2, 2026 – Nov 4, 2029)

Schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate overall restaurant operations; determine service types and implement operational procedures.
Financial Management: Analyze budgets, cost products/services, monitor revenues vs. labor costs, and adjust prep methods or menu prices to maintain profitability.
Staff Leadership & Supervision: Direct and instruct 5–10 team members. Handle recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance reviews, and daily supervision.
Inventory & Vendor Relations: Organize inventory and negotiate pricing/agreements with food and supply vendors.
Compliance & Safety: Enforce provincial health, safety, food handling, and liquor regulations.
Guest Experience: Address customer concerns promptly to ensure consistently high satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree, College/CEGEP diploma, or non-university certificate in Restaurant/Food Services Management (or equivalent combination of education and industry experience).
Experience: 2 to less than 3 years of progressive supervisory/management experience in food service or hospitality.

Certifications & Licences
Safe Food Handling Certificate / Food Safety Certificate
Beverage Services Manager Certification
Smart Serve Certification
WHMIS Certificate
First Aid Certificate

Technical & Personal Skills
Technical: Point of Sale (POS) systems, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), MS Windows, and spreadsheets.

Personal Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills, highly organized, accurate, dependable, reliable, and a solid team player.

Physical Demands: Comfort working in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines; handling a physically demanding role with long periods of standing.
