The Position
Based in either Fredericton, NB or Halifax, NS, the Financial Analyst will work with our dynamic team to arrange mortgage financing across our growing portfolio of retail properties. This role requires attention to detail, organization, and an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in an energetic environment, values hard work, clear and independent thinking.
Key Responsibilities
· Arranging mortgage financing for retail properties across our portfolio;
· Underwriting potential acquisitions and dispositions of commercial properties;
· Analysing development and redevelopment projects;
· Assisting with due diligence for acquisitions and dispositions; and
· Various financial analyses and support for our accounting, finance and development teams.
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge
· Undergraduate Degree in Accounting , Finance or other related field;
· 3+ years experience; commercial real estate or commercial financing experience an asset;
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
· Positive outlook, motivation to learn and grow;
· Excellent communication skills;
· Talent for cultivating and establishing good working relationships, both internally and externally; and
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, including very strong Excel capabilities.
